Theme "Accountability and Welfare State Reforms", Uni Research Stein Rokkan Centre for Social Studies and Department of Administration and Organization Theory, University of Bergen, 19-20 February 2015
The IPSA Research Committee on Structure and Organization of Government held its annual conference, hosted by the University of Bergen, on February 19-20. The theme was: “Accountability and Welfare State Reforms”. The conference addressed a crucial theme of comparative research and welcomed a large number of around 40 participants, presenting over 25 papers. The key themes were accountability, collaboration, welfare state transformation and the changing dynamics of political control and bureaucratic reputation.
The key note was given by one of the key public administration scholars – Johan P. Olsen, Professor Emeritus of Arena and University of Oslo.
Simon Neby and Per Lægreid were principal organizers of the conference.
